Hi my name is Esther Kelly, I am the the Liaison Officer for Lourdes Celtic.  As Liaison Officer I will be the link between the children/young people and the adults within the Club.  My role as Liaison Officer is to ensure the implementation of the Child Welfare Codes and Guidelines for good practice within the club to ensure that all members can participate in our football club in a safe and enjoyable surrounding.  My contact number is 086 070 1558.  Hope you are all having a successful season.

Lourdes Celtic FC and Newtown Rangers held a post Christmas player development 

tournament on Sunday the 8th January for their under 12 and 13 teams. The purpose 

ofthe tournament was to take advantage of the Christmas break to concentrate on 

player development something that Lourdes believes can get lost in the trophy 

orientated nature of league football. Shay L’Estrange secretary of Lourdes Celtic 

said that this did not take away from the competitive nature of the games on the

day; however it did encourage players to experiment and in turn develop their

skills. In attendance to cast an eye over one of the more progressive clubs in 

the South Dublin League was john Devine director of football with the South Dublin 

League. Both Shay L’Estrange and John Devine expressed their satisfaction 

with the fact that player development was the priority on the day.
